Magical Girl Me

So. I found this Shindan Maker and decided to see what kind of magical girl I would be, expecting something really silly. Well, the joke's on me because it turned me into a woodland ninja siren with an animal familiar. And, since the concept was so awesome, I decided I had to draw it. Well, me.

I had LOADS of fun with this one. I've always been fond of those fairytales where fae and spirits aren't inherently good or evil, but rather forces of nature and neutral in the great scheme of things. They just are. That's what I wanted to capture here, and I might just be one of the most terrifying magical girls ever to exist.

The mushrooms are, by the way, called Laccaria amethystina — because of course they are.
