I am in a state of shock at the moment.
I... I honestly can't believe that I did this. I can't believe that I managed... I... God...

Earlier today I felt that I wanted to draw these two, being Carthiel Helcenyë with his son Nernethai 'Uvanimo' Helcenyë, both being characters of mine (darkelves in case you didn't know)
The reason for drawing this was that I wanted to show that even though Carthiel was a crappy father, he loved his son from the moment he first held him in his arms. So that is the moment I have drawn here.

And, since I also felt that I should practice on drawing directly in Photoshop, I did that as well.
Yes, this is done from scratch in Photoshop on one single layer.
And that is why I am in shock.
I used three colours for this - black, one shade of grey and white - and practically nothing but a brush.
I... can't believe it.
First of all, I can't believe that I did it, and second of all I can't believe that I was stupid enough to make it...

I even managed to draw a baby O___O
And Carthiel... dude... I love you.
And yes, I played a lot with light effects. I think that it gave a really nice feeling to the picture. All bright and soft and stuff...

I want no shit about this one whatsoever. Critise it and I will chop your head off. With a cheese slicer.
